Rainbows, Butterflies and Hand Grenades – Available Now

A Friend of Pat Robertson: The Sessons

A Friend of Pat Robertson: The Sessons

If  you were lucky enough to catch dada on their past couple of tours, then you probably found yourself humming “Rainbows, Butterflies and Hand Grenades” on the way home, wondering when it would surface.  Well, the wait is over as dada would love to share the studio version of this concert staple with you now, for FREE.

Recorded during the A Friend of Pat Robertson sessions and produced by Jeff Trott, “Rainbows, Butteflies and Hand Grenades” is now available to download in three different formats: CD-quality WAV and AIFF files to burn to disc or media server and a 320kbps VBR MP3 for your portable media player.

Each zip file below contains the format listed, plus album art to print or import into iTunes.

Thanks for the continued support,

Joie, Michael & Phil

September 2009 – Radio DADA

Sorry – got a little caught up at the office and forgot to have an August play list contest.  However September’s play list more than makes up for it.  Big props to BoulderCreekdadafan for a great list that’s chock full of rarities.  Have a listen right now.

You can thank the dada board’s own bannedmessiah for the July play list.  It’s loaded with some big favorites of mine and a couple of unreleased dada tracks to boot.  Take a listen and stop by the message boards to send congrats to bannedmessiah.

July 2009 Playlist Contest

Want a chance to program radio dada? Then head on over to the message boards and find out how to submit your play list to be voted on by the fans. It’s fun, free and what the hell else do you have to do?

One Thousand Pictures Tell A Million Words

dada’s Photo page now features over 1,000 live photos, some stretching all the way back to 1996.  I’m planning on adding more as I make my way through the vault of photos I’ve been sent over the years.  For now, take a peek at photos from Dave Smolarek, Bill Alther, Bob Dixon, Bob Ashford, Brian Kothe, Chris Babb, Ellen Raimondo, Eric Arena, Jeff Rutland, Mike Friss, Natalie French and Wes Hollis.  You can view the entire photo stream on the Photo page, or head on over to Flick to view individual sets organized by photographer and show.

Each month I’m going to update the songs in Radio DADA using a play list suggested by you.  This month’s play list comes courtesy of  robbie02 and it’s just stellar.  Featuring a several of my personal faves plus a few rarities that some of you might be hearing for the first time.  So, take a listen and be sure to drop robbie02 a line on the message board and let him know what you think of his picks.

The New Site

Welcome to the next verison of dadatheband.com. Besides a new look, the site offers a couple of interesting new features.  Up at the top of the page, you’ll see a search box, which is tied into the main site and works suprsingly well.  Want to find that old Guitar Player Magazine article about Michael’s write problems – search for carpal.  Want to know if anyone wrote about the Dewey Beach show?  Enter Dewey.  And if you’re all about RSS feeds, they’re now available for updates to the site – rollover the category headers to the right over there and you’ll see the RSS icon option.  Now you’ll be able to keep up on any dada news on Netvibes, iGoogle, etc.  Thanks for all your continued support.

New Playlist!

The LISTEN NOW! feature hasn’t been updated in a while, but thanks to a kick in the pants from a board member we’ve all got some different tunes to listen to while surfing. Thanks to Phill for picking the songs in this month’s playlist!
