Dada rocked chicago once again. Thanks to the guys for another great show, we're VERY grateful. Luckily for me this one was only like 3 blocks from my house :P

Always very glad to hear posters llve - Phil ROCKS!

They played Blue Girl!

I shot most of the show on my DVC, but had battery issues, so I missed California Dreaming, Dizz Knee Land and Dorina. That sucks. Setlist to follow.

I was so stoked to finally see Dada....I have to admit that I am a bit of a late-comer. My boyfriend introduced me back in 1998 and I've been a fan ever since.

I was happy to be right up front, but I am paying for it today.....:)

laura ya missed it ? yea it was great .i was
expecting the shortened setlist like some other shows with limited play time for the
band.i talked to phil before the show and joked(well i really meant it)before we said bye hey hows bout finally playing some of
the new tunes that are about to be available within acouple of weeks-he just
smiled.there were tech problems, joie really seemed pissed at first but like a pro
rose above it and played very aggresive and layed it out vocally.mike appeared to have some problems with one of his pedals and maybe at first was not sure if
they were going to play it.it could have been part of an act to make chicago feel special.anyway ,it went down great and hopefully will get respectable airplay.what i really gathered from the show was the audience response -especially from people who were just walking around and
there for the eats then seeing all the heads moving.they know they were witnessing a premiere band!

Yeah, not as long a set as the Park West show, but I guess I'm a little greedy! (ok alot greedy)

Patiently awaiting "5",

The show was awesome despite the technical difficulties. Got to see the boys upfront and personal. It simply amazes me that I can see my favorite band without the hassles of bigger arenas, like battle people in the pits, scalping tickets to get up close, etc,. Blue girl was a nice suprise. Joie thanks for the high five after the show - I hope some talent transference happened during the exchange to make me a better guitarist. Regardless, I was truly inspired by their musicianship and showmanship despite the equipment troubles. Did anyone see the guys after the show anywhere?

just got back from chicago and i wonder what else in the world would have me drive 9 hours one way.nothing!!! the dada boys rocked hard and left me feeling much pleasure. the set list blew off stage in front of me,which i eagerly pulled through the fence. they were gonna play "bob" between "dizz" and "dorina" but the technical difficulties forced them to skip it. i think hearing gurley play "joie row the boat ashore"during the pre-show difficulties was just compensation though. all in all a great show and i'm looking forward to more midwest shows.

I know what you mean! I ditched my husband and kids, drove 2 1/2 hours southWEST, spent the night with a friend, got up, drove 8 hours EAST, got to Vegas, watched the show, little sleep, drove home. I drove over 1,300 miles in about 36 hours. All for dada! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I'm having some trouble getting the video transferred to my computer to make an mpeg. I can do the video, but there's no sound. Once I do, I'll happily donate the show to the webmaster to post clips if he'd like. The sound is OK...the bass is too much for the camera mics, of course, but the picture is great.

If you're comfortable doing so - you could send me the mini-DV tape, and I could make a digital copy, send you back the original and digitize some versions for the website. Not sure when I could get to the digitizing part (I still have a ton of pix that need to go up on this site), but the dub I could do right away - contact me offlist if you want to try that out.
