(In my morning haze, I mistakenly posted this under the "from the band" section.....
here it is again.)

Once again, DADA rocked! The crowd was thin, however....maybe a hundred people turned out for the occasion. But you would have thought that the guys were playing for a full house. The level of professionalism, grace, and attitude never ceases to amaze me. In terms of the setlist, they played a full two hour show of songs which mirror the other sets posted on this board. One suprise was the "new" tune (it's all mine)....which was fantastic! Mike said that the live version of this tune is completely different from the recorded version. It makes me yearn for new DADA material, though I think it is going to be a long while before we see any (if at all).

As always, the guys were gracious enough to hang out and converse for 20 minutes or so after the show. It was a chilly Cleveland night and I think the California in them was ready to get back on the bus and cling to the nearest heater!
Phil says that the live disc should be ready to go "in a few days" so keep your eyes peeled for that one. He seemed really confident and proud of the new live cd.

Another highlight is the amount of DADA swag for sale......these are high quality items, folks. They had tons of t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts for reasonable prices (especially when compared to 35 bucks a shirt, which is the going rate a most concerts). I picked up a beanie hat and the gurley/gilmore disc. If you guys are out there drooling over the new merch, please buy something! This is money in their pockets. This is money that allows artists like this to exist, record and tour! Do yourself a favor and pick something up. You know you want some......

What else can you say about such a great band?
All I can say is this:
Mike, Phil, Joie...thanks for making my 8th DADA show a great one. I can't wait for number nine!

I agree that DADA rocked and displayed true professionalism by performing a great set in front of a very small crowd, which was closer to 60 people. (I was told by the venue management that only 42 presale tickets were sold.) Too bad so many missed out on a great show that was filled with some surprises as previously mentioned. I think the sparse crowd led the band to depart from some of their typical versions on a few songs (great!) and generally have some fun with the show.

Wow.
I flew in From Cinci to see the show w/ my twin bro
(percythrower) and saw what continues to be the best live rock band Ive seen (and Ive seen alot!).
They played the entire set on a night where they just as easily could have cut it short.
They took time for the 10 people or so that wanted autographs or some time to chat after the show.
And the best part is...they MEANT it.
They werent doing these things because it's good for sales or their ego...it seemed to me that they just love what they are doing.
They listen when you have a conversation with them.
They played to the room, and they played very passionately, even though the crowd was a bit thin.
When they could have taken a shortcut, they gave it up.
That's my impression of my 7th dada show and my first of this run.
What a breath of fresh air.
Support this band in any way you can!
It's no wonder they have the fans they do.
I hope they are treated like the champions they are in every city they visit...because we all need a band like dada.
Heaven and Nowhere was my fav.
Great additional hamonies MIKE!
The new tune..ITS ALL MINE..
is really sweet. Maybe MCA will get their shit together and fork over some new tunes for us to dig.
It's not looking good though.
Buy some merch!!!!!!
was anyone from the board there last night?
I was hoping to meet a few of you...
Oh yeah..this is tick logged in on percythrower's acct....he was nice and let me use his computer today.
