I don't have the set list handy, but...
Joie played Morning Sickness on an acoustic guitar, and Phil played (and sang) It's Cool Dude on the very same acoustic guitar. The best Chicago area show this year!

Las night's show at Martyr's ripped it up. The stage was really wide, so all of us there were only about 0-15 feet away, which was a big change from the last 3 times i've seen the boys, all at old theaters. And they really extended and noodled around with almost all of the songs, very cool. So here we go with the setlist. Pretty much the same record we've all been hearing for the past few months, but what a damn fine record it is.
Dim
Playboy In Outerspace
Surround
A Trip With My Dad
Feet To The Sun
Here Today, Gone Tomorrow
Sick In Santorini
Heaven And Nowhere
Ask The Dust
Morning Sickness (Joie solo on acoustic while Phil and Mike take a break)
It's All Mine (no guitar, Mr. Gurley still resting up)
Feel Me Don't You
Mary Sunshine Rain
Moon
Posters
Dizz Knee land
------------------
It's Cool Dude (Yes, BFJ! PHIL on solo acoustic guitar!)
Bob The Drummer
Baby Really Loves Me
Dorina
I hung out a little after it was over and passed out my pocketful of lighters. Hope whoever got one digs it. Then we ran into Phil on our way out and chatted with him for a couple minutes next to the tour bus. Very nice guy. All in all a great night. I didn't get to see the opening act since i was down at the Chicago Cultural Center watching the 1925 silent classic Nosferatu with live accompinament by
The Alloy Orchestra. (Highly recommend seeing them if they come to your town.) And i didn't get a chance to talk to the 2 very attractive women who ended up right in front of me for the whole encore, ah well, loserdom...
I bought Joie's CD and the live official bootleg from Nick, the merch. guy, and picked up a copy of BFJ for my friend with me. This morning as i cracked open the live dada cd i was amazed to find MY NAME in the credits!!! Holy crap, how'd i do that?!??!?
Happy touring, kids

On a side note I stopped in Rockford on the way down as my really good friend t-boned a bus last Saturday. He's in ICU with a head injury and they are keeping him totally sedateted so his brain can heal itself the best it can. Not sure how he'll come out of it so fellow dada fans, please send out some good vibes to Cliff.

Can I get a "Hell yeah" for Jeremy, dada's tech? He's the guy that sets it all up, tears it all down and packs it away on the bus.
If you have a minute after a show, say hello and thanks...he's the big guy with the Asian script tattooed on his arm (sorry, I don't know which language, so I gave a blanket "Asian" description, which I hate).
Last night, unfortunately, some bozo who was grossy overserved thought it would be funny to RIP Michael's set list off the stage half way through the concert. Well, my man Jeremy went into the crowd, had a few choice words with this upstanding gentleman, and got it back. He then proceeded to place two HUGE strips of gaffer tape on the list so this clown wouldn't be able to rip it off again.
After the show, this same guy WALKS RIGHT UP ON STAGE and asks Jeremy for one of the set lists, to which Jeremy replied, "Get off of my stage" over and over.
So, bravo, Jeremy, for the job that you do getting these guys up and sounding great night after night...oh, and playing bouncer when you need to!

I talked to Jeremy after the show and since he was working said come up on stage to talk as he worked. Well a dude from the club said I had to get off the stage. No big deal.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Twangster! Hoping the Mrs. doesn't mind me giving ya a big appreciative
via the board.I saw the photo of you and Michael...you lucky devil. I can't believe all 5 times I've seen the band I've forgotten to bring a camera...what a knucklehead I am.
Glad to hear the wife got her fair share too.

Chicago was my 5th show this tour, also saw them in 97 in Madison.
We really got lucky in the mid-west.
I may be going to the Denver show.
She says I'm dada obsessed, true true.
Ricky Fitts: That sucks.
Lester Burnham: No, actually it was great. All I did was party and get laid. I had my whole life ahead of me.

I wish my official boot CD would arrive!!
I should have bought one in Chicago.
Got Mike and Phil's Jazz CD there and that is pretty cool. Way different though.

Lester Burnham: No, actually it was great. All I did was party and get laid. I had my whole life ahead of me.
